What Do Guides Do? Guides have a five part programme, Healthy Lifestyles, Celebrating Diversity, Global Awareness, Discovery and Skills and Relationships.

Baden-Powell Challenge Award
The Baden-Powell Challenge Award is the highest award a Guide can achieve.
The Baden-Powell Challenge is divided into five zones, each containing lots of different clauses. You need to complete ten clauses in total. You should do one from each zone, then five more. These can come from any of the zones. Up to two of them can relate to Country/Region or Girlguiding initiatives.
To finish the Award you need to take part in a Baden-Powell Adventure. These are usually residential events organised by your County or Country/Region for all Guides in the area who are doing the Baden-Powell Challenge.

Arts Award
​
Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible.
Arts Award can be achieved at five levels, four qualifications and an introductory award.
Guide Camp Permit
​
To start working on your Camp Permit, you need to have gained your Camper Advanced interest badge and be at least 12 years old. If you are 12, you can lead a Patrol camp alongside your unit camp. When you are 13 you can run a Patrol camp without your unit. By completing the permit you will develop leadership, planning, budget management and organisation skills. You will have shown how reliable and responsible you are, and that you can run an event from start to finish.
